My Family

Hello.

My name is Jamie Lynn Mitchell. I have been intrigued by blogs and their bloggers for a while. I have always wanted my own, just for the satisfaction of a constant. No matter what problems arise, or what my feelings are, I can go to this place and release everything and nothing at the same time! I am a mom of two gorgeous girls that are a handful by itself. And now that I am currently unemployed, I need my OWN outlet! I am sure all you mommy's, especially stay-at-home mom's, know what I am talking about!

I am twenty-four years old and I am a temporary single mom, my husband is in U.S. Army Basic Combat Training, and I am currently home-less, I am staying with my mother, so we can save and pay off our accrued debt. The most bizarre feeling is being separated by a whole country from the other half of your heart! My husband, Josh, is in South Carolina at Fort Jackson. Well, it feels like he's not the only one getting training to become Army Strong! My girls and I have SURVIVED! I know women and children struggle and survive boot camp, training, and deployments every day. But us girls depend on Josh so much! He is our rock, our provider, my lover, my best friend, their roller coaster, their hero, and the best description ever: their Daddy!

We only have a short time, eight days, before we brave an AT LEAST forty hour drive from Southern California to South Carolina. Let's just say, for mine and my mom's sanity, we have invested in a portable DVD player! When you have two children under the age of four strapped in their car seats for that long of a time, entertainment is key. I am so excited about spending this quality time with my girls and my mom! We have always been close, but I know we will come out closer. Which is totally worth it! Just in case our family gets stationed somewhere crazy, like Germany or Hawaii, I want my girls to have many memories and pictures to look back on!

Since Josh has been undergoing the tough physical and mental transformation from civilian to soldier, I have been undergoing a more pleasing one! I have been toning, tightening, and tanning my body, I have cut my hair, bought all new make-up, got bangs ( for the first time ever), and been falling even more in love with my husband! At this moment, I have never been so in love with him! The letter writing has brought us a new type of intimacy, a pure and positive love! It truly is amazing watching Jesus answer your prayers! For me it seems like once you stop expecting him to answer, that is when he does it! God is Great! :)

Since nap time is now officially over, it is time for me to continue packing, cleaning, and taking care of my girls. I will post pictures of the girls and I before BCT and after in the next blog! Thank you for taking the time to read this.
Army Strong,
Jamie Lynn Mitchell
